Il Divo: The Promise - CD Review

A little while ago I signed up for the One2One network which I heard of through Beth at I Should Be Folding Laundry. You should really check out both links - I promise you will not be disappointed.

My first product review is on the CD The Promise by Il Divo which was released on November
18th. I just got to listen to the CD in full over Thanksgiving and it was the perfect setting for this CD. I really wasn't sure what to expect as I had only briefly heard of Il Divo as Simon Cowell's project. I was impressed by the rich voices (and let's face it - good looks on the cover). The CD is not something I would pop in while I'm getting ready for a night on the town - but is perfect if you are having a group over for dinner and would like some rich background music. The songs on the album that really stood out for me was Amazing Grace and La Promessa. The music is full of emotion and when you listen to the sound of their voices blend together it's really beautiful. This is really a CD to sit down, relax and enjoy a glass of wine too. Meet the newest member of our family - she's been in our lives for three weeks now and we are starting to settle into a routine! Already I am deeply attached to her - she's just too cute not to love!

He won! He won! He won! I cannot put into words how I feel right now - so full of hope and emotion for our country. Reading the transcript from his speech last night puts tears of hope and joy in my eyes. America made the right choice. They just called my home state of Indiana for Obama - a first for Indiana since 1964!
